These are utilities and add-ons for Maximus that many sysops feel are "essential" to improving and enhancing their Maximus BBS systems. Try them and see if you agree. (Some are "Max-Specific", some aren't.)

net/echomail management

net32_b4.zip: While not really a "FOSSIL driver", NetModem/32 Telnet Server for Win95/WinNT 4.0 unites BBSes with the world of the Internet. Allowing users to telnet in, NetModem allows SysOps with access to the Internet to put up old-style DOS-based BBS softwares.; Also available: NetModem/32 v1.0b4 patch for Windows 98; Need a 16bit version? bwrf063.zip: Blue Wave Y2K Reply Fix, v0.63, by Dale Shipp. This is a small add-on utility which can be used for the reader (or door) to correct malformed date fields in Bluewave reply packets. You should offer this utility to ALL your Bluewave Reader users to avoid having your system output messages with incorrect dates.
multimail: MultiMail, a free (GNU) offline reader. Does QWK and Blue Wave packets, and comes in DOS, OS/2, Linux and other flavors. (This is a link to the home page. Get the flavor you want from there.) This reader appears to be Y2K-OK.

unp411.zip: UNP V4.11 Executable file expander. Uncompresses files compressed with DIET, EXEPACK, LZEXE, PKLITE and many others. NOTE: When using TPPatch (above), you'll find some programs need to be uncompressed first. UNP is what you need to accomplish this.

febb196b.zip: FEBBS v1.96b, filearea manager for Maximus (and others). Not 3.x compatible unless you generate 2.x files when SILTing (use "SILT MAX -2A"), but still a great filearea manager. Will not support filearea divisions, however.
